5th Algeria-Portugal high-level meeting: New step towards enhancement of bilateral cooperation

LISBON-The works of the 5th Algerian-Portuguese high-level meeting will take place on Wednesday in Lisbon (Portugal) under the co-chairmanship of Premier Ahmed Ouyahia and his Portuguese counterpart,
Antonio Costa with a view to strengthening bilateral cooperation, notably in the economic field.
This new meeting will be an opportunity for both parties to discuss the state of their bilateral cooperation since the 4th meeting on March 2015 in Algiers. It will allow both sides to further explore the means to enhance cooperation while taking into account their potentialities.
Ouyahia, who will accompanied by Ministers of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel, of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Noureddine Bedoui and of Public Works and Transport Abdelghani Zalane, will exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest, notably peace and security in the Mediterranean region and counterterrorism.
The 5th Algeria-Portugal high-level meeting will culminate in the signing of many cooperation agreements on many fields likely to allow Algeria and Portugal make a step in the enhancement of cooperation bilateral and transform it into a win-win partnership.
According to the Algerian Customs’ statistics, Algeria’s exports to Portugal over the first eight month of 2018 hit US$717 million, up by more than 15% compared with the same period in 2017.
