Fella El-Djazairia wins “Souad M’hamed” Prize of UN Arts

ALGIERS- Algerian singer Fella El-Djazairia won “Souad M’hamed” Prize awarded by the United Nations Arts for the region of Middle East and North Africa (MENA),
according to the list of the winners published by the event’s organizers on the web.

Fella El-Djazairia is among the 19 Arab artists in different art genres chosen to be honoured in the 2nd Old and New Festival, organized every year by UN Arts for the MENA region.

The list of the winners includes several celebrities, namely Egyptian actress Yousra (Faten Hamama Prize), Emirati singer Hassan El-Jassimi (Abdelhalim Hafez Prize), Tunisian actress Hind Sabri (Hind Rostom Prize) and Kuwaiti singer Nawel (Faiza Ahmed Prize).

The prizes of the festival, organized this year under the slogan “Our Big Arab World,” will be given in a ceremony scheduled for 7 April in Cairo.
