President Bouteflika inaugurates International Conference Centre

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika inaugurated Thursday, in Algiers, the International Conference Centre, located in Pine Club, in the west of Algiers.
The inauguration of this architectural masterpiece, which will host major international congresses and summits, took place in the presence of Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and the ambassador of China to Algiers Yang Guangyu.
Carried out by the Chinese company CSCEC Algeria and an Italian research department, the Centre is named after former diplomat and diplomatic adviser to the head of State Abdelatif Rahal, died on December 2014 at the age of 92.
The members of the deceased’s family attended the inauguration ceremony.
President Bouteflika visited then the lounge of heads of State and his own office.
President Bouteflika also visited the main hall of the International Conference Centre, namely the auditorium Icosium whose reception capacity is 6,000 people. On the spot, he received explanations concerning this room equipped with all the technical means and all the conveniences able to host major international summit and congresses.
On this occasion, a 13-minute documentary was screened on a giant screened in the hall about the International Conference Centre.
The Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, members of the government as well as the State’s senior officials attended the screening of this documentary.
